Passion Savon: Natural Handmade Soap Review

Photobucket

Passion Savon offers a wide collection of natural handmade soaps, made in the south west of France and full of the creativity and expertise of Nia Hafsia, aromatherapist for over 25 years. They use a cold process method that keeps intact the precious ingredients in our unique recipes. Protecting and preserving our skin, the largest organ of our body is their first priority, alongside protecting and preserving our environment.

The company generously sent me these soaps to try and review. Shipping from France to the United States took a week and a few days. Everything came in good condition. If you are a fan of LUSH soaps (their prices are comparable too!), Passion Savon is definitely worth a look.

Hibiscus & Rosehip

6,00 € for 0.1 kg

Sensual, aromatic essential oils and florals with the inclusion of crushed Rosehips that are bursting with Vitamin C. We add Rose Geranium essential oils, this is a fantastic, balancing oil for the skin, normalising both oily and dry skin conditions, also gentle enough for sensitive skin types.

Amber

6,00 € for 0.1 kg

Amazing sensual and earthy aroma of dark Amber resin. Suitable for all skin types.

French Lavender

6,00 € for 0.1 kg

What can we say about our extra mild & gentle Lavender soap in just one paragraph? Almost impossible, as this extraordinary essential oil has so many therapeutic qualities. We use a high altitude Lavender (which is a superior quality) and this essential oil is famous for its ability to lower anxiety, calm and lessen stress.

Liquorice & Aniseed

6,00 € for 0.1 kg

A lovely blend of essential oils – woods and spice complimented with subtle touches of Sweet Fennel. The soap is enriched with natural Liquorice root and essences that have beneficial soothing and detoxifying properties and help to even out irregular skin pigmentation.

Chocolate Pistachio

8,50 € for 0.1 kg

Natural soap made with fresh, organic donkey milk and enriched with Pistachio nut oil. This is probably the best chocolate soap you will ever discover. Exquisite, delicious and completely irresistible. Fantastic soap to use as a facial cleanser.

Cranberry & Rhubarb

6,00 € for 0.1 kg

This soap has antioxidants from the cranberry and rhubarb provides a good source of vitamin C, fibre and calcium. These two fruits together are very acidic in their nature, giving this soap a low pH value, therefore producing a balancing, restoring effect to the skin. Suitable for all skin types.

Arabica Beans & Pistachio

6,00 € for 0.1 kg

A tasty scent characterized by notes of rich coffee beans - you can almost smell the coffee brewing Suitable for all skin types, especially for dry, uneven, rough, dull or damaged skin.

Goat's Milk, Honey, Lavender, & Cedar

6,50 € for 0.1 kg

Goat's milk also has high amounts of protein, fat, iron, vitamins C, D, B and A. These beneficial nutrients will nourish and care for the skin with an anti-inflammatory action that reduces redness and irritability. Besides its gentle, calming effect, goat's milk is also widely used to brighten the complexion. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and fragile.

Photobucket

Strawberries & Champagne

6,00 € for 0.1 kg

We add fresh strawberries to this luscious soap. Strawberries have one of the highest concentrations of Ellagic acid, an antioxidant that is said to protect against cellular damage. This soap is suitable for all skin types (probably our most popular bar).

Natural and handmade.

No palm oil - No preservatives - No petrochemicals - No harsh detergents

Unique designs.

Lathers well.

Cleans effectively.

These soaps are not moisturizing but they didn't dry my skin either. That's what body lotions are for!

All 9 soaps smell amazing but the scent does not linger on your skin. Which I don't mind at all, I'm not the type that would want to smell like soap the whole day.

My favorites: French Lavender, Hibiscus & Rosehip, and Liquorice & Aniseed.

The Arabica Beans & Pistachio soap mildly exfoliates and leaves the skin soft and smooth.

  10. I have been sent a bunch of their soaps too but honestly they are nothing special (not to mention they have the most horrible customer/blogger service but oh well, that's another story I guess) and they melt incredibly fast in my opinion, like nothing I've seen before! The soaps I got all smelled the smae thing which was only a very faint scent...

  19. I used to love buying them when there was a place in my local mall in H.S. You could get "slice" for a couple of bucks. My mom's old co-worker used to make the best ones though, and I wished she never stopped. Maybe someday I'll get into making them too. :)
