Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream Review

Photobucket

Short for Beauty Balm, Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream combines intense hydration with tinted minerals and Vitamin C, so you can ditch that drawn-out beauty routine for naturally more even, radiant, and smooth skin in minutes.

The Back Story on B.B. Creams:

1960: German dermatologist Dr. Schrammek creates the first B.B. Cream to soothe, protect and heal patients' skin, and to cover redness after peeling treatments and other procedures.

2006: South Korea learns that B.B. Creams are the secret behind the famed skin of their favorite celebrities, eventually making them a must-have product throughout Asia.

2011: Luxury brands start launching B.B. Creams in the United States.

2012: Garnier is the first to introduce B.B. Cream in the mass market, making revolutionary skincare affordable for everyone.

I'm a BzzAgent and I got my second BzzKit last month. I was given a tube of the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector B.B. Cream and coupons to share with family and friends.

Comes in two shades: Light/Medium and Medium/Deep

I am an NC42 with MAC and Medium/Deep is a little dark for me. I hope they can have a wider range of shades in the future.

Affordable. $12.99. Available at mass retailers such as Target and Walmart.

Lightweight and won't break you out.

Fruity scent.

Light to medium coverage.

Has SPF 15, great for everyday use but leaves a white cast under flash photography

Easy to apply and contains mineral pigments which melt instantly upon application.

Moisturizing and gives a healthy glow. Great for dry skin

Hit or miss for combination skin like mine.

I like the idea of a product that claims to renew radiance, brighten your complexion, even out skin tone and blur imperfections, hydrate for 24 hours, and protect against UVA & UVB rays with SPF 15 BUT this B.B. cream is not for all skin types. I have combination skin and I had to set it with a matte powder and still had to blot my t-zone every two hours or so. I will not use this often during the summer.

I don't recommend this for oily skin.

I hope my review was helpful.
Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think!

  1. i've always wanted to try bb creams, and i think it's great that they are now widely available here in the united states. :) i have combination skin too, so it'll probably work the same way for me as it did for you. i'd still love to give it a try though, i think garnier is a good brand. hopefully they come up with a wider shade selection soon. :)

  2. Thank you for the review Marie. I unfortunately don't think this would work on my combo skin, but it still sounds like a great alternative to a tinted moisturizer. Hopefully I find one that works for me!

  3. I've never tried BB creams before but they sure sound great! Hopefully, Garnier will come out with a wider range of shades for this particular product. I have medium-toned skin so I don't think either color will work for me. Thanks for the review!

  4. oh my i hope garnier carries that bb cream in Asia too! bb cream is ideally not ideal for oily skin as it greases up later in the day but it is great if you're not very strict w your spf regimen since the sun protection is built in the product already,.

  18. I heard quite some stories about this bb cream and some were really positive, but other really negative. So I don't know, I think it's just not suitable for my skin, but can be very nice for people with dry skin. I like the review though :-)
